It was a hard decision, but my family and I have finally decided that we’re going to Maine! (See what my options were here).
First of all I want to give a huge thanks to all my fans who encouraged me to come to their location, with all their great tips for things to do and the wonderful offers to meet their doggies! One of my Facebook fans, Jeff Barbour, even said that his little guy Max might even consider sharing his toys with me if I came to Virginia. That’s a pretty nice gesture if you ask me. Well, I would love to be able to meet every single one of my fans, but unfortunately I can’t be everywhere at once. That doesn’t mean I won’t come to Virginia or Nova Scotia one day though! In fact, I’ll probably be thinking about Virginia’s beach and babes while I’m in Maine… Again, it was a hard decision.
Now I obviously have to travel celebrity style, and so I have already rented a private lodge for myself (and family) in the town of Tremont, Maine. It’s located right on the water’s edge of Latty Cove with a view out over Blue Hill Bay. I won’t tell you more details than that though because I don’t want the paparazzi showing up uninvited.
And here’s the million dollar view (close enough anyway).
Looks like it’s going to be a great place with lots to do! Perfect to keep a hungry adventurer such as myself pleasantly satisfied. It’s not a sun-soaked beach with ladies in bikinis, but it does have a hot tub! I might be able to round-up a few local girls to join me for a little hot tub party ; )
I recently looked into some specific things to do there. Yet, when I opened up my computer I realized I couldn’t find my glasses. So that’s why I’m looking so close to the screen here..
So to start, I would like to visit Acadia National Park. It will also be lobster season at the time (June), so that will be exciting! I might even go out on a fishing boat to see if I can catch one. Who knows, Dad might even give me a little taste later on..
The place I rented has a small boat, too. So I’ll be able to go exploring on my own. It may not be as warm as Virginia will be, but there are some beaches there. So I’ll still be able to play in the sand and soak up some rays. It’s not like I play in the water anyhow.. And we’ll see how the lady situation turns out.
I’ve been on boats many times before, but never on a true sailing vessel. So I’ve been thinking I’ll become a sailor and embark on one of these giant windjammer schooners. My resume would look good with a ‘Captain’ certification alongside all my others. Oh, and I’ll definitely be checking out the Planet Dog Store, too!
Now to balance out this good news, the bad news is that Mum left this morning for St. Lucia – for a week. I hate being away from her, yet Dad and I will definitely have some fun. Now I know I said I wasn’t going to try to stowaway with her like last time, but that doesn’t I won’t try to stop her from going. So first thing I did was ask Mum if she reaaallly wanted to leave me for a whole week (I put on my sweetest face hoping she would melt and decide to stay).
Surprisingly, it didn’t work. She said she was still going.
Then, the night before she left, she was stomping around the house asking who took her passport. I said, “I have no clue, Mum, it was probably Dad. He’s the one who always loses things..”
At first she agreed it was probably Dad, but that didn’t last long. I don’t know what it is about mothers, but they always seem figure out my secret tactics. Anyway, she discovered I was hiding it under my blanket. She wasn’t mad though, because she knew it was just because I wanted to be with her.
So, I’ll miss her but she’ll be back soon. Then I have my awesome vacation to Maine to look forward to on June 16th. By the way, I know I’ve got some fans in the area (as I do just about everywhere), so if anyone would like to get together for a little celebrity meet & greet you can send me an email: firstname.lastname@example.org, and we’ll try to coordinate something that works for everyone : )
I will be handing out pawtographs..
