Getting Ready for My Birthday

I am sure everyone already has my birthday highlighted, circled, and starred in their calendar, but if for some reason you don’t, it’s October 28, and it’s the big, 2.0. I know the date is approaching quickly, so if you still can’t think of what to get me, here’s a quick wish list:

  • Squeaky balls or squeaky faces, especially the ones from Noodle & Friends.
  • Jackets, rain coats, scarves, etc. I take size small. Refer to above link.
  • Treats, bones.
  • More squeaky balls and squeaky faces.
  • Hunting safari vacation. I prefer Africa but anywhere with lots of squirrels will suffice.
  • Retweets, Facebook Shares, Diggs, and other social ways to spread my story.
  • Even more squeaky balls and squeaky faces.

I just want to let everyone know, I’m not expecting any gifts. But if you do decide to get me one and need my address, just send me a direct message, because I don’t like giving that info out publicly (I’ve had problems with stalkers in the past).

Anyhow, enough about that. Last year my mum made me an awesome birthday cake, in ‘my own image’ I might add. It was really nice to look at, but unfortunately she made the mistake of making it out of human food, not dog-friendly ingredients. So I couldn’t eat it. I hope for this year that she got the message…

I told my mum that instead of getting loads of squeaky toys like I usually do, I would prefer to go on a trip (and trust me, that was a tough decision). My love for the heat and sunshine, especially with this impending cold and wet weather, seemed to be the most appealing birthday gift. I told her I wanted to go to Florida. I’ve been there a couple times before, and it’s always a blast – and the weather is heaven. So that’s exactly what she did. She bought a couple plane tickets for us to go to Florida this October 28 for a week! Whoo! Can’t wait.

Last year when I went to Florida, my mum took me to the doggy beach. I love lazin’ in the sun, sipping some cool, refreshing water, and just watching the babes go by.

As you know, Florida is also home to alligators. My mum was very concerned about this – considering my snack-like size and the proximity of our home to the river. I told her not to worry, and that any alligator that wanted to mess with me would be cruisin’ for a bruisin’. In the below pic, you can see that I showed that gator who’s boss!

To be honest though, it wasn’t a real gator. I’ll admit that.

So don’t forget, October 28 – my second birthday.

More posts to come regarding my previous travels to Florida. And then I’ll let you know how my upcoming birthday trip goes, too!
